Annual Review
According to new research by the Youth Sports Trust, children today are unhappier, unhealthier and more distracted than before the pandemic, but we are committed to help change this through the power of sport and the joy of play and outdoor learning.
In 2024 we reached a record 4,950 children, including many from disadvantaged backgrounds or with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). In 2025, we are on track to smash that record, and in 2026 we will engage with the 50,000th youngster since our inception!

Inspiring children to lead healthy active lives through sport & countryside education
Our Aims
To promote the love of sport (especially cricket), develop appreciation for the British countryside and learn the value of community so that children and adults make healthy, informed life choices.
Championing equity, diversity, and inclusion so that all have access to a wide range of sports as well as learning opportunities linked to traditions and values of the English countryside.
Working with a range of partners to deliver educational activities to children in the local and wider community.
To help build a sustainable future for rural Britain.
As a result of taking part in one or more of our programmes, children become more engaged, resilient, confident, active and happy.
“Our pupils come from an inner-city neighbourhood and absolutely loved their Belvoir experience. The enriching activities included kwik cricket, archery, orienteering, birds of prey and meeting working dogs, and every BEST coach and volunteer was incredibly personable, helpful and fun, engaging with every pupil.”
– Ronan Cobbe, Welbeck Primary School
