Partner with BEST – Belvoir Education and Sports Trust
Creating Brighter Futures, Together

Join our mission

At BEST – Belvoir Education & Sports Trust – we believe in the power of community, sport, and the countryside to transform young lives.

We work tirelessly across the East Midlands to provide children, especially those from disadvantaged & SEND backgrounds, with healthy, active experiences that build confidence, foster connection, and improve wellbeing.

In 2025 alone, we are on track to reach a record of more than 5,500 children, delivering countryside education and sport-based learning in an area where rural isolation and lack of youth facilities are real challenges.

To continue our growth – we aim to double our impact to reach 10,000 young people a year – we need local and regional businesses like yours to join us.

Help us build for their future

We are currently raising funds to complete Phase 1 of our infrastructure upgrade – replacing our old pavilion with a community, education and sports hub for all year-round use. Once complete, it will allow us to welcome more children, in a safe, inclusive space. Your support will directly contribute to this legacy project, allowing us to grow our reach and make an even bigger impact.

Next steps

We invite you to be part of a regional movement creating positive, lasting change for thousands of children.

Let us have a conversation about how your business can help build a brighter, healthier future for the next generation.

WHAT’S OUR WHY?

‘WE ARE COMMITTED TO HELP CHANGE CHILDREN’S FUTURES THROUGH THE POWER OF SPORT AND OUTDOOR LEARNING’

1 – CREATING OPPORTUNITIES FOR CHILDREN TO THRIVE

According to new research by the Youth Sport Trust, children today are unhappier,
unhealthier and more distracted than before the pandemic.

  • Unhappier – 20.3% of children aged 8 to 16 have a probable mental health disorder
  • Unhealthier – 23.4% of Year 6 children are obese and rates are higher than before the pandemic
  • More distracted – 78% of parents believe their children are spending too much time online and not enough time with each other in person.

2 – ADDRESSING RURAL ISOLATION

This is often addressed by a focus on the elderly – but activities and facilities are also
needed for young people and young families, who are vital to regenerate rural areas.
Our work with schools (many from the nearby cities and towns of Leicester, Melton
Mowbray, Grantham and Nottingham) help to promote an understanding of rural
areas, and to develop positive links between the countryside and more urban areas.

3 – TACKLING DISADVANTAGE

The Trust is located within Lower Super Output Area (LSOA) Melton 001C which is
amongst the top 10% most deprived neighbourhoods* in the country regarding access
to services and housing. It’s one of the reasons we are building a new community,
sports and education hub. It will help us super-charge our charitable work.

* Melton 001C is ranked 1,056 out of 32,844 LSOAs in England, where one is the most
deprived.
